Gosia Wlodarczak was born in Poland (1959) and relocated to Melbourne in 1996, where she has since won numerous prizes, held 60 solo exhibitions, and conducted 62 performances.

Drawing is the basis of Wlodarczak’s practice, extending towards performance, interactive situations, installation, sound, and moving photocollage – she refers to this as transdisciplinary drawing.

Wlodarczak graduated with a Master of Fine Arts with Distinction from Poznan Academy of Fine Arts, Poland (1984), and has since exhibited in major shows internationally including: Moscow Biennale of Contemporay Art, Singapore Biennale, Carrousel de Louvre, Paris; and The Drawing Center, New York. She has work in the collections of AGNSW, MCA, NGA, QAGOMA and many others.
