Ling

Ling is a graffiti/street artist who has been adding colour to his surrounding environment with large scale murals since 2000. Ling combines the aesthetics of traditional graffiti with the era of his childhood. In his art, Ling borrows imagery, colour schemes and subject matter synonymous with pop culture from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.

Ling has continued to develop his studio practice, combining techniques developed on the street with those of traditional fine art. His works use bold colours and heavy textures that give a nod to his graffiti pedigree while showing patience and consideration in application. Ling is a founding member of the Safehouse Studio and works from the renowned Everfresh Studio. 

His continued development and commitment to his craft has seen Ling partner with and deliver projects for a wide variety of clients. Most recently, the development, production and installation of a large mural and series of paintings referred to as the Hall of Heroes at the US Consulate General Melbourne – including four portraits on canvas depicting American civil rights heroes.
