"Remedy"
Puangthong’s mural features his favorite character, Hanuman, from the epic Ramakien story told throughout Asia. In one chapter Hanuman has to retrieve a rare magical flower from far away mountains to heal the injured Prince Pralak. This turns out to be very difficult because the flower loses its power when the sun goes down or if it is picked. So Hanuman duplicates himself and one Hanuman stops the sun from setting and the other brings the whole mountain, on which the flower grows, to Pralak. The mural shows Hanuman returning triumphant with the magic remedy.
"The chapter of the Ramakien story, full of strength, sacrifices and creative problem solving, seemed like a good story to share right now. I am so happy to be able to bring some brightness and colour to Melbourne after our long lockdown. I hope people head out and enjoy the city and all the great artwork part of Flash Forward. Enjoy Melbourne." - Bundit
